  • Ignatian Spirituality Center (Seattle)

    November 28, 2006 // No Comments »

    I’m linking to the Ignatian Spirituality Center, here in Seattle, partly so I don’t forget to go looking for it again.

    Their self-description:

    The Ignatian Spirituality Center is an ecumenical and interfaith outreach ministry founded in 1994 seeking to serve the spiritual needs of the people of Western Washington. The Center brings together lay people, vowed religious, and Jesuits trained in Ignatian and other spiritualities to provide programs designed to deepen spiritual growth. We collaborate with Jesuit ministries to provide spiritual direction, programs, and resources that assist persons of all faiths to serve Christ’s mission of compassion, healing, and justice.

    // 2 Comments »

    I just ran into this article from USA Today describing Nicaragua’s proposal to create a canal that would be deeper than Panama canal, transforming Lake Nicaragua and the island of Ometepe in the process.

    (RED)

    November 8, 2006 // No Comments »

    I haven’t seen this before, but probably you have.  There’s a really nice campaign underway with some major consumer goods companies to donate profits to the Global Fund for relief of AIDS in Africa.  Find out more about (RED) here.
