“The medium of evangelism would be our common life”

“The medium of evangelism would be our common life. We would seek to embody the gospel: to be the forgiven community, the community which knows how to accept, knows how to love. It was an awesome mission to contemplate because we knew how poorly we would do it unless the Holy Spirit were working in and through us.”

- Elizabeth O’Connor, Call to Commitment, p. 113 – in a discussion about the plans to start a coffee house (the Potter’s House) as an expression of Church of the Savior.

Have you read Henderson's book yet? I finished it last week and surprised how much I liked it. Wish I could have thought like that 15 yrs ago.
