Last weekend I stopped by the ultra-cool Auntie’s Books and went sniffing around for Wendell Berry books. I chose this one:
I’ve just started reading it (actually started reading it on the way home, sitting in the one restaurant in Coulee City, Washington having a fine steak dinner). It links many of the problems of our contemporary American life with the destruction of rural community.
This man’s a prophet. Unfortunately, an incredibly accurate one.
I can’t remember where I first heard about this guy, but I am definitely going to appreciate reading more of his work.
