Good stuff.

After reading this post, I did a search for an old I-monk post on Jesus and AA. I read through the comments and noticed your comment there to my surprise! So . . . have you read the Big Book yet? :D

I think you would enjoy the Big Book. For the long-time Christian it's a strange and fascinating read, just as AA is in general. The coolest part is that more that half of it (I think) are testimonials--stories from alcoholics--their bondage and their freedom.

And I bet you'd really dig working the steps. I've got a modified set at my blog we've been working to become more Christlike. I can say I'm less of a jerk today than I was when I started! The progress has been encouraging. I'd welcome your thoughts on AA & our modified steps, especially in light of what you've been studying. Hope all is well.
