Numerous times he was quoted as saying he didn't need Scripture. That's not of Christ. Nor was he. Perhaps if people had been more like the Bereans, he never would have risen to the level he did. I would like to be clear that my prayers are with the Bentleys for the complete restoration of their personal lives. If you felt that I was ungracious toward Peter Wagner, I am sorry. I am particularly grieved at this time about those who build ministries around alignment, popularity, platforms, and conferences. I believe it is high time that these "high places" are torn down. Usually I try to lend my voice to proposing a better way. Occasionally it seems timely to point out the things that are glaringly false, particularly when it seems the masses are so willing to follow the celebrities. Pat,
