★ If I had a personal assistant…

I would ask my assistant to organize my books on my shelves, sticker them with a library of congress ID or a dewey decimal ID or something, which would put the like books together, and then make sure they were all in my LibraryThing.

Then I could find the books I know I have, and I need to get something from.
I wish I had a personal assistant, because I know I’ll never do this..

    About 8 months ago, my wife decided she was going to clean up the library/computer room while I was away. When I came home, my books had been alphabetized.

    My first reaction was “You did what?….WOW….”

    My second reaction was to apologize ‘cause we were gong to have to move all the books down stairs on a month and turn the library/computer room into Cyrus’ room.

    I have 7 bookshelves full of books, some two deep.

    Tha'ts quite a task for your lovely wife to do. I'm surprised you didn't turn downstairs into Cyrus' room just to avoid moving the books :-)
