I have longed to spend a weekend at a monastery, but have never made the time to do so. I had considered going to the Benedictine Priory in Lacey because it's closer, but Mt. Angel sounds like it might be worth the drive. How long did it take to get there from North Bend? I'm not too far down the road from you (in Pacific). This is my first time here, and I've only read two of your posts, so I don't really know the context. So I hope that nothing I've written in this comment, or the one on another post, is inappropriate or offensive. I'm sorry that you find yourself in such difficult circumstances.
