★ On our return

On the way home, here’s what happened:

AirTran had moved their checkin gate, so we lugged all our crap from one side of the airport to the next terminal.

We were selected to receive extra security screening (Kaileigh too). I thought it was because the security guard had a Yankees label on his phone and I was wearing my new Yankees Suck cap, but apparently the computer did it.

When the security screen was completed, nobody could find my laptop for several minutes. I thought it was stolen in the process – but no, the security folks had just set it aside.

Kaileigh soiled her pants on the trip to Philly airport, so from our arrival at Philly all the way to Seattle she had no pants on. Diapers and longsleeve shirt only.

Shannon couldn’t clear the pressure in her ears on descent into Seattle.

Coming into the Seattle airport my glasses broke – a lens fell out and I didn’t have a screwdriver to fix it (this being a weapon, you see). Did the luggage pickup* part with no glasses.

Standing at the baggage claim area, Shannon finally cleared her ears, and promptly fainted onto the floor from sudden pressure change. Two people called 911 on their cell phones.

(*) Either AirTran and/or USAir lost all 4 pieces of our luggage, alongwith luggage for about 25 other people as well.

I puked last night at 1:30am.
